Help Patients Navigate OTC Hearing Aids

Patients will ask you about OTC hearing aids (Go Hearing, Lexie, etc)...as they start popping up in pharmacies and other retailers.

Don’t confuse these with personal sound amplification products (TReO, etc) for people withOUT hearing loss. These amplifiers are intended for hunters, bird-watchers, etc...and are not regulated by FDA.

OTC hearing aids are FDA-regulated devices...like Rx hearing aids. But OTCs are only for adults with mild to moderate hearing loss.
